Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund, Inc. Application

The FRIENDS OF 440 (440 is the chapter number of the Florida Workers' Compensation Law) is a joint association of attorneys, adjusters, judges, doctors and rehabilitation providers who, together, raise money for scholarships for the college and graduate education aspirations of children of injured workers. Children who, because of their parents' loss of income due to injury, could not afford to send themselves to college or graduate school otherwise. Please Contact Us to obtain more information and a scholarship application. Or, if you would like to contribute to the scholarship fund, donations are tax deductible.

The firm is a member and founder of Florida Workers' Advocates. FWA lobbies for better workers' compensation laws and supports candidates for public office who will listen to the problems of injured workers and support reasonable solutions to those problems. FWA provides continuing legal education to its members and also researches and writes briefs as a friend of the court. These briefs are intended to assist appellate judges in their duty as interpreters of the law. And, we are committed to supporting V.O.I.C.E.S, an organization run by injured workers. V.O.I.C.E.S. lobbies in support of meaningful legislation designed to improve the lot of employees injured on the job.

The members and associates of Levine Busch & Schnepper, P.A. dedicate many hours of their time to assisting other members of the bar to improve their skills in the areas of workers' compensation and ADA law. Members of the firm have served on the Workers' Compensation Section Executive Council and many of our attorneys have lectured at seminars sponsored by the Florida Bar and other legal organizations. We are fully supportive of the Florida Bar's programs to enhance the reputation of attorneys.
