R.
Cory Schnepper practices labor and employment law and workers' compensation
in the firm. He specializes in the areas of Workers' Compensation, Americans
with Disabilities Act and other disability related fields, as well as
employees' rights in the workplace. Cory,
a native of Brooklyn, New York, is a graduate of the SUNY at Stony Brook.
He received his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law
in 1976, where he was a member of the University of Miami Law Review,
the Society of Wig and Robe and the Society of Bar and Gavel. Cory is
a member of the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar, the Academy
of Trial Lawyers (1993 Silver Eagle Award Winner) Association of Trial
Lawyers of America, the Dade County Bar Association, the Trial Attorney
Bar for the Southern District of Florida and the Dade County Trial Lawyers
Association. He is included in the Workers' Compensation Section of
the Florida Guidebook of Law and Leading Attorneys. Cory is also Florida
Bar Board-Certified in the area of Workers' Compensation and is a member
of the Florida Bar Certification Committee. In 1994, Cory was awarded
the Florida Workers' Advocate Speaker Award, and in 1996, he was awarded
the Community Advocacy Award by the Dade County Deaf Services Bureau.
He is a past President and a present Trustee of the Friends of 440,
Inc. In 1997, he was awarded the Friends of 440 Honoree Award. Cory
lectures frequently in the field of Workers' Compensation, and has appeared
as an expert in the field on both television and radio. He is AV rated
by Martindale-Hubbell. Cory is married to Ellen Schnepper, a Civil Circuit Mediator. They have two daughters, Rachel and Caroline. He enjoys attending Florida Panther and Miami Heat games, traveling and spending time with his family, including their three cats, Chloe, Samantha and Aziza and their one and only dog Yurii.
